I also live in PA, have an 2018 LX w/60,320 miles and was told it had blown head gasket by a dealer tech (who, if i had to guess, was about 20 years old). I asked the tech if a compression test and/or leak down test was done to verify - nope, just knew it.
HondaCivic 1 litre turbo - Cam belt change 75k - Boris Pretzel : I bought the 1l civic in late 2018 and have just found out about the year 6 (or 75k) super expensive extra service. Very disapointed as I would not have bought that version had I known this was coming. A Civic with a 1.0 engine to avoid, issues with the 1.5 as well
Thebase price starts around $24,500 for a 1.5-liter Accord LX β competitive with rivals that have standard auto braking β and tops out at nearly $37,000 for a 2.0-liter Touring with the full
Theride is great and composed, and with loads of space in the interior, the Honda Civic is the perfect companion for long distance driving. The cabin remains quiet thanks to more sound deadening and thicker glass, plus the CVT does a good job of keeping the revs down low. As a result, the Civic RS Turbo is very fuel efficient despite its power.
The10 speed is responsive with generally smart gear selection but can be a little busy with so much shifting. In general this car feels much faster than my prior 301HP Lexus GS due to much better
Thereis no recall like that for the 2018 Accord. NHTSA - 2018 Honda Accord. Here's what I would do, I would reinstall the original ignition coil for cylinder 2, reset the ECU and see if the P0302 code comes back. 3. r/Honda.
Ifthis is the first teardown you are finding, there are over 20 others I've done! Lots of LS's, A viper engine, rx8 rotary, and a couple SRT8 Hemi's to name
Whilethe Civic evolved into a more mature and more practical sedan in the 2000s, Honda has infused the latest iteration of the Honda Civic with some of the sportiness found in earlier models. Honda's all-new tenth generation Honda Civic marks the model's return to being a fun sports sedan. Itβs now longer, wider and lower than its predecessor.
Sothis is where all the 2.0 head gasket folks are posting! I was on a different forum where most posters were complaining of all 1.5 gasket issues and doubting the legitimacy of 2.0 issues. I just got my 2018 2.0 with 95k miles scoped today at the dealer to confirm a gasket breach in cylinder 2 and 3. Some quick history:
MajorFailures 1 car had a failed CVT (replaced under warranty). 1 car had a blown head gasket. 1 car blew a CVT pushing the car hard with an existing emissions problem. 1 car blew an engine running an E35/meth setup. 1 car blew an engine when the owner mistakenly used non-race gas with a tune designed specifically for race gas. 1

Boughta 2018 Honda Accord new September 2018. Now have 6700 miles and today checked the crankcase oil level to find the oil level was about 1" over the "fill" mark on the dipstick and had a strong odor of gasoline. I took the car to the dealer who is going to do an oil change tomorrow and stated he will get an analysis of the oil done.
Theseproblems reportedly manifest in 2016-2018 Civics and 2017-18 CR-Vs equipped with the 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, in temperatures of around 15 degrees Fahrenheit or lower.
